This Gary, Indiana native has been dancing around the globe with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater since 2011. Renaldo has incorporated his passion for dance with the need for social responsibility by working as the Co-Artistic Director of the South Shore Dance Alliance back home in Indiana. Look for Maurice when the Ailey Company comes to your town.





Reginald L. Barnes


Reginald L. Barnes is a star on the rise. Recently featured on HBO’s miniseries The Night Of…., some of his credits also include Marvel’s Luke Cage, The Breaks and Madam Secretary. On stage, Reginald has been featured in the award winning Off-Broadway hit Black Angels Over Tuskegee, Timeless: The Mystery of the Dark Water and the original tour of James Earl Hardy’s B-Boy Blues The Play.

Up next, look for the Omaha, Nebraska native on the small screen in The Russian Room, and in 3 films – Vendetta Games, Venuses, and the hilarious political satire Make America Black Again. Barnes now calls NYC home with his husband, Matt, who he married last year.




Carolyn Malachi

This Washington, DC based, Grammy-nominated songstress is a shining example of how music truly is universal. Her vocal talents, breathtaking live performances, and songwriting acumen have served international audiences and wowed music lovers in South Africa, China, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Haiti, Barbados and beyond. Generating global excitement about American art and delighting local cultures are just a few of the qualities that, according to MTV, make her “An R&B artist to obsess over.”

Using her music and social media platforms as forces for good, Malachi, a Fulbright-Hays grant recipient, advocates for equal access to education and technology. Carolyn recently launched a new podcast entitled GRITS & GARRI’s as a vehicle to juxtapose the work of African-American, African and Caribbean artists who create music. “As an artist, I feel it’s important to be a thought leader, an innovator and, as Nina Simone so eloquently put it, ‘a barometer of the times in which we live.’ Hate and ignorance continue to tear at the very soul of our democracy.
