The power and intimacy of George M. Johnson is that they are both ferocious and delicate, all at once. Even the title of their “memoir-manifesto,” a young adult non-fiction opus that took the literary world by storm when the world was in the midst of madness, shows that they are fiercely ferocious in their intentionally.
In March of last year, the Ballroom Community lost our dear friend – the beloved Vjuan Allure. Recognized as an innovator in the Ball scene and largely regarded as the originator of Ballroom dramatic beats. Vjuan was famous for his 2000 remix of Masters at Work’s “The Ha Dance” which quickly became the signature sound for vogue all around the world.
